2020 Jeep Wrangler Colors
Last Updated June 12, 2023 | C.J. TragakisFrom Bikini to Punk’n Orange, Jeep has never shied away from fun and funky color names. There are ten total options for the 2020 JL. Five are black, white, and shades of gray. The other five are bold and vibrant.
While we do miss colors from the JK generation, like Mojito! and Gobi, Jeep (and FCA as a whole) are still offering some of the coolest paint options in the industry. There’s something for everyone, no matter what their style is or how they want to customize their rig.
Check out the full list of 2020 Wrangler colors below. Note that there are no specific 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon colors. However, not all of the colors are available on the base Sport and Sport S trim levels.
2020 Jeep Wrangler Exterior Colors
There are no new or retiring colors in 2020, as all colors were carried over from 2019. All paint colors are clear-coat, except for Bikini, which is a pearl-coat. Five paint options add no extra cost, while the five “premium colors” are available for a small upcharge.

Black Clear-Coat
Black is a classic color that’s hard to go wrong with. It won’t stand out nearly as much as the brighter shades. But the clear-coat gives it a unique sheen that looks great in many different lights. We’d opt for a blackout look with black wheels and accessories.
Sting-Gray Clear-Coat
This gray approaches the flat gray tone of Battleship Gray from the Dodge Challenger. Flat grays are all the rage right now, but this is definitely a color that will age well. It looks excellent with red accents like the Rubicon sticker or some D-rings on the front.
Firecracker Red Clear-Coat
This classic, bright American red is definitely a color the Wrangler wears well. This shade brings a warmth no matter what climate you live in. It’s also sure to catch people’s eyes.
Hellayella Clear-Coat
Using some West Coast slang, this bright shade is more yellow than a fresh banana. Black accents contrast really nicely, giving you some great options for accessories. You don’t see many bright yellow vehicles on the road, so this is another great option to stand out from the pack.
Granite Crystal Metallic Clear-Coat
This stealthy gray looks great in all weather. It’s a bit darker than Sting-Gray, looking almost black in low light. The metallic finish gives it a great depth that will shine when it’s clean. Yet, it will still look sharp when it’s covered in mud.
As with most cars, it’s hard to go wrong with a dark gray.
Bright White Clear-Coat
The Wrangler wears this crisp white well, especially when you add some contrasting black wheels. It also serves as a blank canvas for you to add accessories of any color, be that black, red, blue, etc.
Billet Silver Metallic Clear-Coat
Silver isn’t always an exciting car color, and it can definitely blend in. But the Wrangler shade has a metallic depth that looks nice. The steely look works well with the broad, rugged lines of the Jeep.
Ocean Blue Metallic Clear-Coat
Serving as a replacement for the old Hydro Blue, Ocean Blue is deeper and darker than its predecessor. It has a slight tinge of indigo that’s reminiscent of the deep blue sea. This option offers a balanced shade for those who want some color without being too bright.
Bikini Pearl-Coat
The only pearl-coat option on the list, this might just be our favorite. This deep turquoise looks like the Caribbean on a sunny day. It’s another standout shade that will attract attention and (hopefully) lots of compliments.
Punk’n Metallic Clear-Coat
This classic Jeep shade is an orange somewhere between traffic cone and coast guard helicopter. It has enough red to look aggressive but also enough yellow to shine bright under the sun. If you love orange, this is a must-have.
Jeep Soft Top Colors
There are several top options for the Wrangler. Besides black and body-color Freedom hardtops, there are black and tan soft tops. The black soft top goes well with every shade, while the tan might require some color coordination.
While the factory tops provide a range of options, there are even more to choose from on the aftermarket. Mesh sun shades and bikini tops offer other ways to enjoy fresh air. If you only got a hard top from the factory, it’s easy to add a soft top in the color of your choice.
Wrangler Exterior Trim and Accessory Colors
There are also ways to customize the color of some of the JL Wrangler’s exterior components. You can upgrade from black to body-color fender flares. You can also select a satin black grille.
Depending on the trim, you can choose silver, gray, or black wheels. It’s even possible to opt for side graphics showing a mountain landscape or an American flag hood graphic.
Wrangler JL Interior Colors
There isn’t a whole lot of variety for the interior colors of the 2020 Wrangler. You can match your exterior color with either black or tan cloth seats. Or, you can upgrade to luxurious black or dark saddle leather seats for an added fee.
As for interior trim, there aren’t many factory options, but there is room for customization. The dashboard panels are gray in most trims and red in the Rubicon. But you can easily paint your Wrangler's dash panels to match your exterior paint or whatever shade you want!
What’s Next for the Wrangler JL’s Colors?
Although the JL just launched in 2019, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Jeep add a new color or two for the 2021 model year. This would help keep things fresh, as Jeep enthusiasts are always excited about new exterior paint options. Jeep could even bring a color over from the Gladiator, like Gator.
