Found on both the 1967 Shelby GT500 and 1968 GT500KR, the 428 police interceptor engine had a 335 horsepower rating thought to be underreported. The 1968 Shelby GT500KR equipped with a police interceptor engine claimed the title of "Super Stock Eliminator Champ" at the 1968 Winternationals.
The SMS 302 Mustang is based off the 2011 Mustang GT and is capable of producing over 440 horsepower with an option of adding a supercharger on top of that. Other upgrades included an aggressive new body kit, new springs, front struts, rear shocks and linkages, and upgraded brakes.

The Indy Pace Car Mustang turned out to b a surprise hit for Ford, selling over 10,000 units. Two more Pace Car Mustangs editions were produced in 2011 and 2012.
