Scott Drake Brake Spindle Big Bearing Heavy Duty Mustang 1965-1970

Scott Drake designed their Heavy-Duty Big Bearing Brake Spindle as a direct fit replacement for the 1965-1970 Mustang brake system. The design of the original spindles was deemed obsolete by modern standards, so Scott drake brought them up to spec with larger and stronger bearings and tie rods to handle the extreme abuse of racing. The spindles are built off Ford’s original spindle design with forged ASTM 5140 grade steel for increased rigidity and are then layered with a protective black e-coating for corrosion resistance.

Proper heat treating ensures an added layer of induction hardening over the factory originals for increased strength. Finally, all Scott Drake spindles are then 100% Magnetic Particle Tested for any weak points in the body before they leave the factory. These Brake Spindle are available individually (Driver or Passenger side) or as a pair.

Please Note:
- These spindles require 1970 outer tie rods.
- 65-66 non power steering cars and all 67-69 cars can simply change to 1970 outer tie rods or
- 65-66 all can use HW4437 shims and 67-69 cars can use HW4438 shims.
- These spindles require the use of 1970 rotors, bearings, and grease seals.
