Valve Spring Specifications:
- Max lift: .550
- Coil bind: .740
- Intake install: 130lbs @ 1.8
- Exhaust install: 130lbs @ 1.8
- Closed sear pressure: 110lbs
- Open seat pressure: 300lbs

Tech Tips:
- Due to the wide combustion chamber needed to fit around the large 2.250/ 1.880_ valves, we recommend 3481004P or HG10171. To install these heads on Mark V blocks you can use EDL7375 head gaskets.
- These heads require the use of 14mm. x 3/4_ reach 5/8_ hex gasket seat sparkplugs. Some recommended plugs are NGK BCPR6ES or R5671A-7, Champion RC12YC, Autolite AR3923, or AR3924. Remember these are for mild street engines. Higher compression or boost requires colder sparkplugs!
- Due to the raised (+.625_) exhaust port location on these heads, +.100_ longer bolts/studs are needed next to each port. Use Head bolts HBK1353703.
Head studs will work too as long as they are 8 + .100. Please consult your fastener manufacturer for their specific recommended torque values.
- These Big Block Chevy heads utilize a 1.88_ x 1.88_ square exhaust port. This exhaust port requires specific gaskets. 3551003 gaskets are made of re-useable copper.
