How would you know if you have a "9 or a "8?

Asked by: JohnnyKnox
The factory installed a tag on the rear that would identify it. If the tag is missing look at the retainers that hold the diff. to the housing if it is an 8 inch you can get all the nuts with a socket, if it is a 9 inch there will be one that a wrench would have to be used to remove it, its in the lower passenger side.
