Rated 1 out of 5 by Cobraman from Terrible I had an issue with my 70 driver door not staying shut due to the malfunction of the latch. I installed this replacement part over the weekend and this is the results. The packing was good however, it was missing a lock nut washer and two pin retainers. Since the screws with this replacement part are a different size from the original, I was unable to use my good original. I was able to use one of the retaining pin connectors from the original. Oh, on that note, the provided retaining pin connectors are opened wider than original so I suggest they be tightened with pliers prior to installation. Once installed and screwing in the two of three door mounting screws, two of the three stripped while hand tightening... The door would not close tight after installation. It stayed open about a 1/4-3/8" and rattled. I adjusted as much as I could without success. While removing the part because it just won't cut it, I noticed the difference between the original (That Failed) against the replacement was a broken spring. There is only one spring. I replaced the spring on the original failed latch and reinstalled. PERFECTION! Save Time and Money wile keeping the original piece that has high quality by eyeballing the spring. Hope this is helpful to someone.
