CJ Classics Hatch Striker Assembly for 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1993 Hatchback Mustang.
The hatch striker is what the latch locks on to when the hatch is closed. The hatch striker assembly is made up of a bolt, a large washer and a bushing. Overtime, the continuous scraping of the latch wears out the bushing. A worn bushing will result in a misaligned hatch.
Just like the original, this CJ Classics (FM-BD050D) hatch striker features the same parts and sizes for a direct bolt-in. Installation of the hatch striker is very simply but requires a torx socket. This is a simple fix for quieting down your squeaky Mustang.
This Kit Includes:
- Bolt
- Washer
- Bushing
The hatch striker takes a tremendous amount of abuse over the years and will eventually wear to the point of failure. A rattling or misaligned hatch is a sign of a worn hatch striker assembly. Replace the hatch striker assembly before catastrophic failure occurs.
*Later 5/1991-1993 cars require removal of the bushing.
