The hatch striker is what the latch locks on to when the hatch is closed. The hatch striker assembly is made up of a bolt, large washer, and bushing. Overtime, the continuous scraping of the latch wears out the bushing. A worn bushing will result in a misaligned hatch.
Just like the original, this CJ Classics (FM-BD050C) hatch striker features the same parts and sizes for a direct bolt-in. Installation of the CJ Classics (FM-BD050C) hatch striker is very simply but requires a torx socket. This is a simple fix for quieting down your squeaky Mustang.
This Kit Includes:
- Bolt
- Washer
- Bushing
The hatch striker takes a tremendous amount of abuse over the years and will eventually wear to the point of failure. A rattling or misaligned hatch is a sign of a worn hatch striker assembly. Replace the hatch striker assembly before failure occurs.
