Product Description

Flaming River 33" Stainless Steel Tilt Steering Column to Fit Aftermarket Wheels for 1967-1970 Mustangs.

This 33" tilt column is designed for use with floor shifter. They feature a 2" tube diameter and compact shroud create a unique new custom look. Each column comes complete with a billet dress up kit (Tilt/turn signal levers and hazard knob), GM wiring (4-1/4in. connector) and an all new canceling cam. Shaft size is 1 in. DD.

This isn't a rebuilt junkyard column, but rather an all new Flaming River engineered column featuring all new components. Made in the USA.

All Flaming River columns are made from 304 grade stainless steel and are available in paint-able mill finish OR polished to a high luster. They will never rust and are chemically clean and can be painted to match or highlight an interior with only minor preparation.

*Does not have a location for an ignition switch in the column. 1970 Mustangs will need to purchase an ignition switch separately and mount it under the dash.
*If your 1965-1966 Mustang has a Flaming River Short-Shaft Steering Box, you will need to purchase a 1967-1970 steering column.

Product Questions

Will this column bolt straight into a 1970 Mustang or is there major work required to the dash mounts and wiring harness?

Asked by: seds
This would require relocating the ignition switch to the dash and some modification to the turn signal switch wiring.

This bolts directly to my 1968 steering and wires directly to the existing harness? What selection of wheels do you have, the original fixed larger wheel (what's that dia.) gets in my way a lot when I am getting in/ out of the car.

Asked by: JImbony
You will have to use the supplied connector to adapt the stock turn signal wiring to this columns turn signal wiring. This 9 bolt steering wheel adapter, part number FR20113, can be used with the many 9 bolt steering wheels CJ's offers.

Will this hook up to the Rod and Custom power rack?

Asked by: waketek516
Yes, as long as you use the correct U-Joints.

All these tilt columns seem so proud of the GM wiring harness, why is that such a great thing? What is required to adapt it to a Mustang? I guess you need the other half of the GM connector and then splice it to the Ford wiring?

Asked by: Aggiesrok
This is a brand new part that's specifically built and fit to 1967-1970 Mustangs. It will easily connect to your Mustang.
