1. To get started installing your new Mustang 3-Row Aluminum Radiator, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2. Jack up the front of the car from under the Mustang K-Member and place jack stands under the front of the vehicle.
3. Place a bucket or spill pan under the passenger side of the Mustang radiator, just under the drain plug.
4. Pull out the drain plug, which is located in the lower corner of the radiator on the passenger side, to drain the coolant.

5. Disconnect the Mustang upper radiator hose, which is located on the passenger side of the radiator, using a flat head screw driver.

6. Remove the Mustang lower radiator hose using a flat head screw driver.

7. Secure that hose so that it is in an upward position and will not spill any coolant.

8. Disconnect the low coolant sensor by pulling the wire plug off of the Mustang radiator overflow cap.

9. Unbolt the Mustang upper radiator brackets using a ratchet and a 10mm socket.

10. If you have a Mustang electric fan, you will need to unplug all of the wiring for it. Mark the wires before you unplug it so that you know where the wires plug back in.

11. Pull the radiator out of the Mustang radiator support by lifting it straight up.

12. With the old radiator out, you can start to swap the parts from the old radiator to the new aluminum radiator.
13. Remove the electric fan brackets from the old radiator using a ratchet and a 9/16 inch socket.

14. After the brackets are removed, carefully pull the thermostat probe out of the old radiator. The Mustang fan can now be removed.
15. Remove the bracket holding the radiator overflow bottle using a ratchet and a 7/16 inch socket. Also, remove the tube which connects the overflow bottle to the radiator.

16. The radiator overflow bottle is attached to the old radiator using U-nuts. The U-nuts must be removed and transferred to the new aluminum radiator.

17. Attach the Mustang radiator overflow tank to the new radiator using the 7/16 inch bolts that you removed from the old radiator. Push the tube from the radiator overflow tank onto the connector on the aluminum radiator.

18. The electric fan can be mounted onto the radiator using the brackets and the 9/16 inch bolts that were on the fan when it was removed from the old radiator. Push the probe for the Mustang thermostat into the fins of the new radiator, about 2 inches to the left of the inlet tube (top right corner).

19. Slide the Mustang radiator into place on the bottom part of the radiator support. Reattach the mounting brackets with the 10mm bolts.

20. Check the clearance between the electric fan and the water pump pulley.

21. Reattach the electric fan wiring, upper radiator hose, and lower radiator hose.
22. Fill the radiator with coolant. Reconnect the negative cable on the Mustang battery.
23. Jack up the car, remove the jack stands, and lower the vehicle back down.
24. Start up the engine and allow the coolant to flow through the engine. As the coolant flows, continue to add coolant to the radiator until the radiator is full. Also add coolant to the radiator overflow bottle to the “cold full” line.
25. Installation is now complete and you can enjoy your new Mustang 3-Row Aluminum Radiator.
