Premium Battery Apron Passenger Side 1967-1968 is rated out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by CaseyD from Stronger than stock, but rough around the edges The good: Nice thick steel to give this area some needed additional support. Stock panel is much flimsier. Welded in reinforcement plate below the battery tray is great. Also bare steel so no grinding off that hard black coating to weld. The bad: The folded edges look they are just raw plasma cuts. So I still need to do some grinding anyway. Also the edge folds are fairly erratic and not straight, but I assume some tweaking will be necessary for fitment so no biggie. Also all of these repro panels are creased and wrinkled around the concave bends for the battery. The original doesn't have this problem and these just look amateur. I'm not even that picky, but this is pretty visible when you open the hood so I'll be spending some quality time with a hammer and dolly to smooth out the wrinkles. IOW, still easier than making your own from raw sheet, but there's still metal work to do to make it 100%.
