I especially liked the heavier gauge material. When I had to weld, it was much more forgiving of my amatuer status. It's size {much larger than the battery "cave"} made it easy to cut down and fit into the compartment where the battery lives. Even after trimming, and fitting, the formed portions of the part fit nicely against the body panels of the shock tower, upper inner fender, lower frame, and radiator support portions of the body. I elected to screw and bolt the unit in place and the heavier gauge metal seemed to provide much more heft and holding power. Self drilling sheet metal screws rarely spun out. It took some doing and fitting, but in the end the battery now has a good, secure home. I hope the next owner, fifty years from now thanks me for not welding the thing in place.

Poor shape and fit
Warped, had creases and only resembled an original. Metal was thicker than original was the only good part.

Premium is Right!
This is an excellent apron panel. It comes with a reinforcement plate where the rust/rotten metal occurs through time. It definitely was thicker material and fit beautifully. Highly reccommended!
