No it can not, this is only designed and intended to be used on a 1967 Mustang.

I am interested in this mirror for my 1967 mercury cougar. Could you tell me what the spacing is between the 2 mounting holes. The car has fresh paint and I would rather not have to drill. Thanks, Mark
