They come in a set of six and today we are going to be installing them in our 2016 EcoBoost F-150 for some more spark. This is probably going to be the easiest performance upgrade you can do to your EcoBoost F-150, and we're going to start off by removing the engine cover ... We're starting off on the passenger side. Installation is real simple. Just remove the 8 millimeter bolt on each coil and then remove the connector ... Pull down the red lock on the connector. Lift the coil out a little bit. Pinch down on the connector to remove it. Then remove the coil. Then just reverse the process with your new Accel Supercoil.
Reinstall the bolt and repeat the process on the other five coils ... Once all six coils are installed, you can reinstall the engine cover, and your installation is finished. Our Black Accel Supercoils are installed. Installation was very straightforward, but if you're like me and you're a little short, getting to the rear coils might be a little difficult. Installation should take about 15 to 20 minutes and before you know it, you'll be heading down the road.
