This new type-RS carbon fiber hood made by Anderson Composites is hand-crafted from premium quality wet carbon fiber using a 3K 2x2 weave carbon fiber fabric. It is infused with marine-grade resin to create a lightweight yet strong hood with a glossy show-quality finish. This coating is resistant to damage from the sun thanks to UV inhibitors. It features a mesh screen which is not only removable but also paintable to match your Ford Focus. This hood weights approximately 18.2 pounds and installs using OEM hood hardware.

Please Note: Anderson Composites requires the use of heat shields with their hoods. If you choose not to install a proper heat shield capable of withstanding ambient temperatures of up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, damages to the hood may occur and won’t be covered under Anderson Composites 6-month appearance guarantee.

Tech Tip:
- Anderson Composites does not suggest re-installing gas shocks/dampers/struts and recommends the use of a hood prop rod. They also recommend the use of hood pins for safety reasons and strongly advise to install a heat shield on the underside of this hood.
- Modifications may be necessary for correct fitment of the O.E. windshield washer spray nozzles and fluid lines as part of the normal installation process.
