With noiseless braking and excellent heat management, GM engines with a C-clip will love this rear brake system (4302249S). For a secure fitment, Baer Brakes equips this system with Verislide brackets that self-center to 10 and 12-bolt axles. Silver calipers serve as the system’s core, each fitted with six cross bolts and stainless steel pistons. Not only does this make the calipers strong, but it also leads to minimal wear over time since the pistons are staggered. Add in the fact that they use DOT-compliant seals that block out dust and the calipers make for a powerful addition.

This system also includes a parking brake and 14” rotors built in a two-piece design. Because their surfaces are drilled and slotted, they excel at regulating heat. Plus, their zinc plating and bolted-on 6061 T-6 aluminum hats add stylish but durable good looks. However, if you’d like to use other rotors, the calipers can take on any 13” or 14” rotor. To boost longevity, the system uses the same backing plates and pads found on 1997-2012 C5 Corvettes. When paired with the stainless steel brake hoses and banjo-style fittings, it makes the system a hardy contender.
