The inner workings of this VFD III Digital Instrument Gauge System include a micro-controlled precision stepper motor as well as, laboratory-grade, solid-state sensors that provide the gauges with more efficient readings. The solid-state sensors read water temperature, oil pressure, and speedometer pulse generation. The speedometer not only converts a mechanical speedometer cable reading to digital, it is also fully programmable for various tire sizes and rear-end gearing. The water temperature and oil pressure sensors have 1/8" NPT sensors along with bushings to adapt to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT. The other displays will work with any sensor you have, whether it is OEM or aftermarket.
