Diode Dynamics' white beam features a 6000k color temperature, a true cool white output that matches most stock LED lighting. On the other hand, the selective yellow is a 3000K color temperature, perfect for cutting through low visibility weather conditions or lending a unique look on the road. 

How does Diode Dynamics achieve maximum performance and light output? The Stage Series C1 LED Pod uses custom-engineered TIR optics and a single high-power LED chip. Unlike traditional optics which lose light internally and to glare, TIR optics are far more focused and efficient. They collect all of the light from the LED and direct it only where needed to reduce glare.

Traditional optics can lose up to ten percent of light output shining through an outer lens, but not the patent-pending TIR optic. It serves as both optic and main lens for noticeably greater efficiency and light output. Reflectors and simple lenses simply can't match the intensity of TIR optics when paired with high-intensity LED chips! 

To meet your auxiliary lighting demands, Diode Dynamics developed each incredibly functional beam pattern via optical simulation modeling. The flood pattern is particularly useful for generating a uniform, even output. It features a full 50x50 degree spread, leaving nothing wanting. While generic "flood" lights are often, in fact, a highly diffused spotlight, Diode Dynamics' flood pattern uses pillow optics on the outer lens surface for a true, optically designed spread. It's ideal when used as a backup light, scene lighting or for trailers and roof racks.
