This new Edelbrock Accu-Drive Camshaft Gear Drive (7890) from CJ Pony Parts is designed to replace a stock timing chain on a Chevrolet small block engine with a precision gear drive system that utilizes a compound gear drive train. It features an easy installation that simply requires you to replace the stock crank and camshaft sprockets with Accu-Drive gears, and then slip the idler assembly right in!

This Edelbrock Accu-Drive Camshaft Gear Drive (7890) will carry power from your Chevy's crankshaft gear to a full floating main idler. This allows your camshaft gear to drive as the main idler gear floats to an ideal position between the crankshaft and camshaft gears. With your new gear drive, you can ensure equal load sharing between these gears! The included gears are made from billet SAE-1144 steel with induction-hardened teeth that are also shaved for absolute precision. You will also receive hardened and ground idler pins made from billet steel that work with all standard camshafts. Your small block Chevy engine will gain accurate timing control with no chain to stretch, several cam timing adjustments, and a smooth cam rotation for precise valve timing.
