Working on a Small Block Chevy Engine built before 1987? Bolster it with a more responsive throttle and increased torque over a wide RPM range from idle to 5,500. The Single Carb Dual Plane Performer EGR Intake Manifold (3701) from Edelbrock will outperform your stock part. And, the low-rise design is perfect for additional hood clearance.

The dual-plane design is paired with patented runner tuning and a 180-degree firing order that puts the competition to shame. The Edelbrock Intake Manifold accepts late-model choke, water neck, air-conditioning, alternator, and H.E.I. The Intake Manifold features provisions to add an oil fill tube.

Tech Tips: 
- Recommended carburetor: OEM 4-Bbl; Edelbrock AVS2 or Performer Series 500-650 cfm. Use bracket p/n: EDL8031 or p/n: EDL8036 for 1972-78. 
- Recommended intake gasket: p/n: EDL7201.
- Use RTV sealant to properly seal end seals. Do not use end seals gaskets.
- Sealant must be used on intake bolt threads if the threads extend into lifter valley or coolant passage.

Additional Notes:
- Not for 1987 and later cast iron or Chevy Bowtie heads. Will fit 1987 and later stock aluminum heads.
- Edelbrock p/n: 1476 is required with p/n: 3701 on centerbolt heads with 1986 and earlier bolt pattern.
- Hardened washers must be used with intake bolts to ensure proper torque and prevent galling of the aluminum.
- NPT/Pipe thread fittings require the use of Teflon tape or paste on threads to ensure proper seal. Do not over-tighten NPT/pipe fittings; this may cause the aluminum to crack around the fitting boss. NPT/Pipe thread is a tapered thread.
- Even though manifolds are compatible with EGR systems, this does not mean they are legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles. Check local laws for legality.
