Manufactured by Edelbrock, this Victor Intake Manifold Valley Base Plate (2992) fits conventional 18-degree Small Block Chevy heads on standard deck engine blocks. This part serves as the bedding plate portion of a two-piece manifold system, typically consisting of a valley plate and spider.

"Spider assembly" is a term coined by racers that refers to the intake manifold runners while the valley plate assembly simply refers to the bottom section of the intake.
