This is a 6-Volt Horn Relay for your 1948-1955 F100. The horn relay in your pickup is essentially just a remote switch, in this case activating the horn. This relay takes a small amount of power, controlled by the horn button and uses that small amount of power to complete the circuit, allowing the larger amount of power to reach your pickup's horn to activate it. This relay is designed to work on early F100s that still utilize a 6-volt system.
