The main feature of this oil separator is the multistage filtering system. The first stage is a fine mesh screen that collects the fine oil vapors. Once they become heavy enough, they drop to a 1/2” thick 1/16th” aluminum honeycomb filter for the second stage. As the drops of oil pass through this filter, they become larger and fall to the bottom of the tank. Preventing the oil vapors from reaching your intake system.
