The Blackhawk gets its name from having an all-black aluminum intake tube, synthetic media air filter, and heat shield. The intake tube is made of aluminum with a free-flowing, mandrel-bent design. It comes in a textured black powder coat finish with a welded, engraved K&N plate for a high-performance underhood look. The intake tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor, crankcase vent, idle bypass, and EVAP vent hoses. To maximize flow and filtration, the system uses K&N's oversized, cone-shaped air filter with oil-free synthetic filter media. It can handle 100,000 miles of operation before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions.
