Tech Tip: After installing a new air cleaner, you should always lower the hood slowly to confirm that there is sufficient clearance visually. A minimum clearance of 3-3/4" is required from the top of the carburetor gasket area to the underside of the hood. The air cleaner bases are recessed for a low profile appearance, maximum performance and hood clearance.
