PUTCO uses an injection molding process to mold this set of window visors from polycarbonate. This process allows for a consistent and precise fit. The use of polycarbonate gives the window visors an extremely durable design, able to stand against rain, snow, wind and extreme temperatures. With a new manufacturing process that involves an in-channel installation design for the front windows, PUTCO’s front window visors give your F-150 a more finished and seamless look over traditional tape on designs. Installation of the window visors does not require any cutting or drilling, the front visors simply slide into the weatherstrip channels of your windows, while the rear visors use a double-sided tape to adhere to your F-150.

These PUTCO window visors will contrast nicely with our truck, giving it a nice custom look and will allow us to crack the window while keeping out rain and snow. The front visors easily install with their in-channel design and the rears install with pre- applied 3M tape.
We're going to be starting off with the front passenger side window visor. They come labeled so you know which one goes where. This one's going to install just like this inside the trim. Take the back of the window visor and get in inside the weather stripping and tilt it up. Make sure it's in the groove the entire way forward. Then you have to push up and bend back this visor to get this tab behind the mirror panel.
All right. Upon initial installation, the window does hit the visor. PUTCO says you have to put the window up and down a couple times to make the motors adjust and then after you do it about 5 or 6 times, keep the window up for at least an hour to make it form nicely.
You have to put it up and down a couple times because as you just saw, I pushed it up and the motor automatically took it down. You need to calibrate the motor and after you do it a couple times, then you keep the window up.
Now we're going to move on to the rear. Now we're on the passenger side rear window. The flat part of the visor goes towards the front and the curved part towards the rear. It goes in the window just like so, but you have to remove the cover off the 3M tape and then install it.
Push it towards the back of the seal so it doesn't stick on up front. You need to get it in place before it sticks on. Push it back and then you can pull it forward so the tape adheres.
Now we're going to leave the window up for about an hour. Finish the other side and your installation's finished.
Our PUTCO window visors are installed. They look great. Installation couldn't be easier. Takes about an hour and a half and before you know it, you'll be heading down the road.
