The heatshield barrier insulation panels protect painted surfaces and reduce the vibration and noise produced by large body panels from entering the passenger cabin. These AcoustiHood Under Hood Cover Kits come manufactured to cover the structural ribs on the underside of the hood surface of your 1969-1970 Mustang to give a clean, finished look to the engine compartment.

Whenever possible, the manufacturer uses factory hood insulation mounting holes, however, some hoods will require additional mounting points, such as steel hoods, that may require the drilling of hood cover mounting holes. Instructions for drilling mounting holes and a drill stop sleeve are included in each kit. Fiberglass hoods are mounted with magnetic fasteners which are glued in place and instructions for this process are also included in each kit.
