Your 1976-1977 Bronco's wheel cylinders are an important part of the rear drum brake system since these are what force the brake shoes into the drums to slow down and stop using friction. The wheel cylinder is made up of two pistons with one on each side of the cylinder.

Each piston on the wheel cylinder has a shaft and a rubber seal that connects the piston to a brake shoe inside the drum. When the brakes are applied, those pistons are forced outwards to push the shoes against the drum.

Please Note: This rear wheel cylinder is only for use on the passenger side of 1976-1977 Broncos with 11" rear drum brakes.
