(1999-2004) Mustang Mach 1 Grille Delete Kit Installation

1999-2004 Mach 1 Grille Delete Install Instructions

This Mach 1 Grille Delete Kit will fit all 1999-2004 Mach 1 Mustangs. The grille delete fills in the gap between the bumper and radiator while adding a new Mustang pony emblem to your Mach 1’s front end. Installation can be completed in under an hour and requires only a few simple tools.

Tools Needed:

• Phillips Head Screw Driver
• 7mm Socket & Ratchet

Step 1: Pop Open the Hood

Pop open your hood to gain access to your Mach 1’s old grille.

Step 2: Remove Push Pins

Remove the four push pins that attach your grille to your Mustang radiator cover using your hand or a clip removal tool. Then, remove the two push pins on the top of the bumper cover.

Step 3: Remove Bottom Grille Bolts

Tilt your factory grille slightly forward and use the 7mm ratchet to remove the four bolts on the bottom of the grille that hold it to the bumper.

Step 4: Pull Out the Grille

Pull out your Mach 1 Mustang’s grille.

Step 5: Install New Grille Emblem

Grab the new Mustang horse emblem included with your grille delete kit. Install the emblem by sliding the bracket through the opening in your grille frame and then securing it using two provided screws.

Step 6: Reinstall Lower Trim Piece

Next, install the lower, black, curved plastic trim piece at the base of the grille area. Slide the two tabs under your bumper cover, then reinstall the two push pins removed earlier to keep it in place. Use the supplied Mustang Mach 1 Grille Delete Hardware to secure the trim piece.

Step 7: Reinstall Push Pins

Reinstall all of the push pins that were removed earlier.
