New 2027 F-150 Colors
Early ordering information points to three new additions to the F-150 color palette for 2027: Birch Sand, Neptune Blue, and Wild Green. The new shades add some welcome variety to the lineup, especially for buyers looking for something other than the usual black, white, gray, or silver truck.
Birch Sand
Birch Sand is one of three new colors expected to join the F-150 lineup for 2027. It's a light tan shade that gives Ford's full-size truck an earthy appearance without standing out quite as much as some of the brighter options.
Earth tones have become increasingly common on trucks and SUVs, so Birch Sand feels right at home on the F-150. We think it'll look especially good paired with black wheels, all-terrain tires, and other off-road upgrades on trims like the Tremor.
Neptune Blue
Neptune Blue is the new blue option expected to join the F-150 lineup for 2027. Ford has changed its blue offerings quite a bit over the past several years, and Neptune Blue looks to continue that trend by replacing both Antimatter Blue and Argon Blue.
Compared to the extremely dark Antimatter Blue, Neptune Blue should make its blue appearance much more obvious in most lighting. It'll be interesting to see how the color looks in person, especially alongside black and chrome exterior accents.
Wild Green
Wild Green might be the most interesting addition to the 2027 F-150 color lineup. Ford hasn't offered many green options on the standard F-150 in recent years, making this a welcome change for truck buyers who want something different.
Wild Green appears to be a more traditional green than the darker, olive-inspired Shelter Green offered on the Raptor. It's a natural fit for a pickup and should be an especially attractive option on off-road-focused F-150 builds.
Returning 2027 F-150 Colors
Along with the three new additions, most of the familiar colors from the 2026 F-150 are expected to return for another year. Here's a closer look at the shades that appear to be sticking around.
Star White Metallic Tri-Coat
Star White Metallic Tri-Coat is expected to return for 2027 as the premium white option in the F-150 lineup. Unlike a basic white paint, Star White uses a metallic tri-coat finish that gives it extra depth and a pearlescent appearance in direct sunlight.
It's a great fit for the F-150's more luxurious trims, especially when paired with chrome or polished exterior accents. Availability varies by trim, but Star White should continue to give buyers an upscale alternative to Oxford White.
Marsh Gray
Marsh Gray looks set to return for a third year in the F-150 lineup. Despite its name, this shade has noticeable brown and green undertones that give it a much earthier appearance than a traditional gray.
With Birch Sand and Wild Green joining the lineup, the 2027 F-150 could have one of its strongest selections of earth tones in years. Marsh Gray fits nicely between the two and remains a great option for an understated off-road build.
Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat
After returning to the F-150 lineup for 2026, Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat appears to be sticking around for 2027. It's a deep red with a metallic finish that gives it plenty of depth without looking overly bright.
Ruby Red also remains important as one of the few colorful options available outside of the new blue and green shades. It's a good choice for F-150 owners who want their truck to stand out without going too far outside the traditional pickup color palette.
Carbonized Gray Metallic
Carbonized Gray Metallic is expected to return once again for the 2027 F-150. The dark metallic gray has become a staple throughout Ford's lineup and offers many of the same benefits as black while being a little easier to keep looking clean.
It's also one of the easiest F-150 colors to customize around. Black wheels, chrome trim, graphics, and other exterior upgrades all work well against Carbonized Gray's neutral finish.
Agate Black Metallic
Agate Black Metallic appears set to return for another model year. Black remains one of the most popular choices for pickup trucks, so it's no surprise that Ford continues to keep it in the F-150 color palette.
The metallic finish gives Agate Black some extra depth in direct sunlight, while the dark color creates an aggressive look on practically every F-150 trim. It's hard to go wrong with black if you're already planning aftermarket wheels, lighting, or other exterior upgrades.
Oxford White
Oxford White continues its long run in the Ford color palette for the 2027 F-150. Unlike Star White, Oxford White is a straightforward solid finish without metallic flake or a premium tri-coat appearance.
That simple look is a big part of its appeal. Oxford White works just as well on an XL work truck as it does on a modified off-road build, and it provides plenty of contrast against black wheels, bumpers, and exterior accessories.
Iconic Silver Metallic
Iconic Silver Metallic is another familiar F-150 color expected to return for 2027. The bright silver finish might not attract as much attention as Wild Green or Neptune Blue, but it's a practical option that works well on nearly every trim.
Silver also does a good job of hiding dust and minor imperfections compared to darker colors. For F-150 owners who want a straightforward truck color that's relatively easy to maintain, Iconic Silver remains a solid choice.
Shelter Green
Shelter Green is expected to remain available on the F-150 Raptor for 2027. Its dark metallic olive finish has become a great match for Ford's high-performance off-road truck and provides a much different look than most of the standard F-150 colors.
The arrival of Wild Green shouldn't necessarily spell the end for Shelter Green. The two shades serve different purposes, with Wild Green offering a more traditional green while Shelter Green maintains the darker, military-inspired appearance that fits the Raptor so well.
Retiring 2027 F-150 Colors
Early ordering information indicates that three colors from the 2026 F-150 lineup won't return for 2027. Antimatter Blue has been around for several years, but Argon Blue and Avalanche will have much shorter runs if the early information proves accurate.
Antimatter Blue Metallic
Antimatter Blue Metallic appears to be leaving the F-150 lineup for 2027. The extremely dark blue has been available on the truck for several years and can easily look black in low-light conditions before its blue metallic finish comes alive in direct sunlight.
With Neptune Blue joining the lineup, Ford still has a blue option available for 2027. The new shade should provide a noticeably brighter alternative for buyers who want the blue paint to be more obvious in everyday lighting.
Argon Blue Metallic
Argon Blue Metallic looks like it'll have an extremely short stay in the F-150 lineup. Ford introduced the brighter blue for 2026, but early 2027 ordering information indicates that it'll disappear after just one model year.
Neptune Blue appears to be taking its place for 2027. Ford has cycled through several blue shades on the F-150 in recent years, so buyers who really like Argon Blue may want to stick with a 2026 truck.
Avalanche
Avalanche also appears to be leaving the F-150 lineup after returning for 2026. The flat light gray shade has come and gone from Ford's truck lineup before, and its latest appearance could once again last just a single model year.
Birch Sand gives buyers another light neutral option for 2027, although its warmer tan appearance should look noticeably different from Avalanche. We wouldn't be surprised to see Avalanche return again in the future based on Ford's history with the color.
