How to Replace the Fender Emblem on Your 2024 Mustang
In this guide, we'll show you step-by-step how to replace the front fender 5.0 emblem and GT trunk badge on your S650 Mustang GT. You can easily apply or replace the 5.0 fender emblems or GT badge with a few basic tools and some simple techniques. Dress up your new S650 GT with a fresh set of 5.0 emblems to overhaul the appearance of your ride.

Tools and Products Needed
- Fishing line OR Plastic Pry Bar
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Clean Microfiber Cloth
- Painter's Tape
Step 1: Mask the Surrounding Area
Use painter's tape to mask off the area surrounding the emblem. This protects the paint before you start removing the emblem.
Step 2: Remove the Emblem
You can use a plastic pry bar or fishing line to remove the emblem. Work your way under the emblem and loosen it from the fender.Then, gently lift up the emblem and remove it.
Step 3: Remove Leftover Residue
Remove any leftover glue residue with your fingers. This should be relatively easy since the glue is new. If you're having trouble, use a safe-on-paint remover to help.
Step 4: Clean the Area
Use isopropyl or rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth to clean the area where you removed the emblem. You want to remove any leftover residue that you couldn't get off with your fingers.
Step 5: Remove the Tape
Now, remove the masking tape.
Step 6: Install the New Emblem
Line up your new emblem with the factory alignment tabs and then press it into place. Be sure that you press evenly along the entire length of the emblem to help it adhere properly.
Step 7: Repeat This Process
Now that you've finished one side, repeat steps 1 to 6 on the opposite side.
Bronze GT Trunk Badge Install Instructions

Step 1: Clean the Badge Area
Use cleaning fluid and a rag to wipe down the factory badge and the paint surrounding it. Remove any dirt or residue for a clean application surface.
Step 2: Protect the Paint Around the Badge
Cover the paint around the factory badge with painter's tape. This will protect the paint while you remove the badge.
Step 3: Remove the Badge
Use a plastic pry bar to slowly work your way under the badge and pry it free from the trunk. Alternatively, stretch out a strand of fishing line, slide it beneath the badge, and slowly move it back and forth until the factory badge separates from the trunk. Then, gently lift up the emblem and remove it.
Step 3: Remove Adhesive Residue
Remove any leftover glue residue with your fingers. Roll the glue by sliding your fingers along the paint until the adhesive separates from the trunk. If you're having trouble, use a safe-on-paint adhesive remover.
Step 4: Remove Tape and Clean Area
Remove the painter's tape. Then, use isopropyl or rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth to clean the area where you removed the badge.
Step 6: Apply the New Badge
Align your new bronze GT badge with the factory holes on the trunk, and press on the tabs until you hear them lock into place. Be sure to press evenly along the entire length of the badge to help it adhere properly.
