This Rugged Ridge A-pillar light kit comes with two five inch halogen lights to give your Jeep a classic look and improve your off-road visibility. It also comes with two very nice stainless steel brackets that mount to the A-pillar and a complete wiring harness and switch for an easy installation. So today we're gonna install these lights on our 2008 Jeep Wrangler.
Installation of this light kit is actually super easy. All you need to do is remove the two T40 Torx Bolts right here. We actually have 13 millimeter bolts here because we have a different light bar set up, but if you don't have any aftermarket bars right here, it's just gonna be a T40 Torx bit.
You can now grab a bracket and install it onto the A-pillar. Now they are side specific, so line it up with the bolt poles and make sure you have the right one, and then reinstall the factory bolts. Remove the nut and washer on the bottom of the light. Then install the washer, lock washer, and nut. Tighten the nut with a 14 millimeter wrench. Now you can repeat the process on the other side.
All right, we have both lights installed, now it's time to wire it up, but we're not going to show you how to do it because there's so many different ways you could do it. You could wire it up with the wiring harness that comes with the kit, you could hook it up to your own switch pod, but we're actually going to hook ours up to our trigger system. Okay we have our Rugged Ridge halogen lights all wired up, now let's turn them on.
All right we have our Rugged Ridge halogen lights installed. They definitely give our Jeep that classic look that everybody loves, and they're definitely going to help out with off-road visibility too. Installation should only take you about an hour, and before you know it you'll be heading off road.
