The clamps are easy to install and include stainless steel hardware. These Rugged Ridge X-clamps are made of diecast aluminum with a textured black powder coat finish, and they're designed to perfectly fit two and a quarter to three inch roll bars to mount cameras, lights, and antennas. They come with a pair of super bring LED cube lights rated at 840 lumens each, so today we're going to install them on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler.
This kit comes with three different bolt lengths to fit three different sized bars. We have a longer bolt here, a middle one and a short one. They all fit different sized bars. Today, we're going to be installing the middle bolt on our clamp so it can fit the rear roll bar on our Jeep Wrangler.
I'm going to remove all four bolts that come already installed on the clamp to install the middle length bolt. Once you have all the bolts removed, you can install the clamp onto your roll bar. Then reinstall the bolts and in our case we're going to be using the middle length bolts.
With the clamp installed, grab your mounting bracket and if you'll notice, there's four pegs right here, which allows you to mount this in four different locations. Find the location that you want, and then install it. Then install your light with the provided hardware. Then tighten the nut with a 13 millimeter socket. Adjust it to your liking, get it fully tight, then repeat the process for the other light.
Our Rugged Ridge X-clamps and LED lights are installed. The X-clamps definitely made it a lot easier mounting lights to this roll bar. They're definitely going to come in handy if you have a truck or a Jeep. Installation is not too bad. It should only take 15 to 20 minutes, and before you know it, you'll be heading off road.
