Speedmaster Non EGR Mid-Rise Dual Plane Intake Manifold for Chevrolet Small Block Engines.
Speedmaster’s Mid-Rise Dual Plane Intake Manifold is a direct-fit upgrade for your Chevrolet Small Block Engine. The intake manifold is designed to be fully compatible with Chevy Small Block Vortex engines. It features the same plenum and runner design as the normal MidRise but provides an open-air gap under the plenum chamber. The air gap provides a cooler charge for the incoming air with less heat transfer from the engine. This cooler air charge provides additional power and torque. The manifold also has a square bore carb pad to utilize standard Holley, Carter, and Edelbrock carburetors.
Features and Benefits:
- Fits Chevy Small Block Vortec Engines
- Dual Plane with Divider
- 1,500-6,500 RPM Operating Range
- Black Exterior Finish
- 4.65-inch Height
- No EGR Design
Vehicle Fitment:
- 1960-1987 Chevrolet C10
- 1988-1998 Chevrolet C/K
Tech Tip: This manifold is intended for use on 1957-1995 blocks using the 1996 and later Vortec (Gen 1+) heads or Edelbrock E-Tec heads. It can also be used on 1996 and later Vortec engines with some minor modifications. The modification is not to the manifold itself. It just requires running a short section of the heater hose from the pipe-tapped hole in the front of the manifold to the 5/8" hose nipple on the passenger side of the water pump. The 1996 and later Vortec blocks do not have a water bypass in the block and this hose takes care of that issue.
