This STO N SHO Quick-Release Front License Plate Bracket is an aftermarket solution to the front mounted license plate that will not ruin your front bumper. It is a two piece quick release system consisting of a front license plate holder and a base mounting plate that allows you to stay legal while on the streets but can be simply removed when you are at a car show or track.
Once the front plate is removed you can’t even tell the mounting plate is there! Manufactured in the USA, the STO N SHO system is constructed from 5052 and 6061 aluminum for a durable construction. Both of the plates are precision laser cut and hand-burnished while each tube and rod is machine cut and hand cleaned.
The entire bracket system is then finished with a sleek black paint for a nice finished look.

And to be legal for the ride home slide that in, put the plate back on. This stow and show bracket shown here will fit your nonperformance pack 2018 Mustang, but a performance pack version is also here at Cjponyparts.com. For this installation you need a Phillips-head screwdriver, T15 TORX bit, 1/4 inch ratchet, 7 millimeter socket and a 10 millimeter socket.
The first step of the installation is you're going to remove this center screw here from the factory lower splash pin. Now, we have the car up in the car just so you can see what we're doing. This whole installation can actually be done on the ground. With the factory screw removed we're ready to install our stow and show bracket. Now, you want to make sure when you do this the ring is facing the driver's side. The smaller hole in the front, that's where we're actually going to put the hardware for the screw we just removed.
What we're going to do it put the screw in from the bottom, take the provided spacer and put that on top. Then we can screw it into the valance. Now, get this snug, and then you want to make sure you have it straight. This part you can use a drill. It'll be easier if you have it. But all you got to do, this is basically a self-tapping screw. Put that in the larger hole back here and just thread it in. Now, using the supplied hardware you can screw your plate onto the bracket. Just line it up. Pull the pin. It locks in place and your installation's finished.
If your state requires a front plate the STO N SHO is definitely the way to do it on a 2018 Mustang. It simply clips in place. When you go to the race track or a car show simply pull it and put it aside. It'll look a lot better, and then when time to go home simply line it up, slide it back in, locks in place to keep you legal.
