Even though this Windshield Fold Down Latch Kit is a factory style replacement for only 1966-1968 Broncos, it will actually work on all 1969-1977 Broncos that have converted from a welded-on windshield to the popular fold-down style windshield.
Just like the original setup, the U-bolt attaches to the hood and the locking mechanism attaches to the top of the windshield frame. Once the windshield is lowered down to the hood, the latch goes around the U-bolt and then the locking pin is inserted to keep the windshield held in place.

Tech Tip: The latch can be welded onto the top of the windshield frame like the originals were, or it can be attached using rivets.

One of the coolest things about owning a Bronco is being able to fold down the windshield and take a nice cruise, but it's not very fun if the windshield isn't secure and bounces all around potentially breaking.
If the window latch kit on your Bronco is broken or completely missing this factory style replacement latch kit attaches to the hood and the top of the windshield frame to properly secure it in place when folding it down.
