Borgeson Steering Column Shaft Replacement 1965-1967 is rated out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by doug70 from Too short won't work with stock column This rod is a Borgeson 990040 rod, it works only with a non stock column and a Borgeson power steering box. It is only 31 1/4" long. Borgeson doesn't make one long enough. The original shaft is 34 3/4" long. Unisteer makes a rod the proper length. A photo of the borgeson rod (on top) and an original rod (on bottom) with splines cut off. (That's why I needed a new shaft). This one does not even reach to the firewall with a stock steering column.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Keepmontheroad from Nice part at a nice price Needed to modify my column to be able to use it with the borgeson power steering box. It worked great. Keep In mind you will also have to purchase a rag joint or u-joint to connect to the steering box. Arriving with the shaft was also a bushing for the end of the column and a firewall support bracket for a 65/66 mustang. If using this on a 67 you might need to find a 68 style firewall bracket which luckily I already had.
