Steering Shafts

A Mustang steering shaft is an easy component to replace as part of a restoration or upgrade. For classics, Fox Bodies, and SN95s, this mod will enhance your driving experience. You’ll also find steering couplers, vibration reducers, joints, and installation hardware.

A new steering shaft can help take the vagueness and play out of your existing steering system. Replacing your stock shaft will result in improved steering feel and quicker response. If you own a classic Mustang, you'll notice a big difference right away.

If you have an older Mustang, it’s also worth considering other steering system upgrades. Try switching to modern power steering or a steering box with integrated power assist.

A new steering shaft assembly may be necessary to make room for other upgrades. For example, a smaller steering shaft will give you more clearance to install long tube headers.
