- Hardware Kit
This is the correct 33” long steering shaft for 1965, 1966 and early 1967 Mustangs with a Total Control Products Rack and Pinion conversion and an original steering column. These Mustangs came with a non-collapsible steering column and most of these vehicles’ column tube and steering shaft were supported directly by the steering box. Installation of a rack and pinion conversion requires the column tube to be shortened, the steering shaft replaced and the addition of a firewall mount. Also included here is the necessary 3/4” double-d shaft, slotted 2-1/4” diameter column bearing retainer assembly and a hardware kit to complete your installation.
The correct firewall mount (Part # TCPCOLM04) needed to complete your installation can be purchased right here at CJ Pony Parts.
