Door Shell Reproduction 1965-1966 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doors fit good Doors fit good. I ordered the 1965 Door bolts like stated in the video but when I went to install my hinges on the door the bolts did not fit. I went back to my 1966 bolts which worked fine. So again you should probably order 1966 doors side bolts.

Product Questions

It's there information on how to install the glass in the door?

Asked by: LaloPerez1989
Install the vent window but leave loose, install the rear window channel leaving the mounting hardware loose, install the window regulator, leave the window stops and weatherstrip off, than you can install the glass, install the vent window hardware and window stops, attach the regulator to the glass bushings and adjust.

HI! what's the difference between this Door Shell and the Dynacorn Door Shell 1965-1966 (DYNADR-V)

Asked by: Rod13
Dynacorn is a name brand manufacturer. While the products are the same fitment between the standard reproduction and Dynacorn, Dynacorn typically offers better quality, fit and finish.

I wanna order these doors today but it does not say they are In stock how long do they typically take to be received by me

Asked by: drewtolk
Depends on how fast you want to ship them and where you are. If you choose overnight shipping (which isn't free), you could have them tomorrow. Standard shipping would take a few days, at least.

Are these doors manufactured in the USA? Is the metal thickness for these doors the same as the Dynacorn? If not, thinker or thinner?

Asked by: Cybernetic59
They're unbranded, which means they could come to us from a variety of suppliers, making it hard to say whether or not they're made in the USA. They aren't as high quality as the Dynacorn products.

are the regular door shells as good as the dynacorn door shell

Asked by: randy7
That's more in the eye of the beholder. We like both of these products and are positive that either would be an excellent fit on your Mustang.

Door Shell Reproduction 1965-1966 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: We're here with a replacement door shell for your '64 through '66 Mustang Coupe, Convertible, or Fastback. All of our door shells come with this black e-coating to protect against corrosion. Our doors come precut for both your door handle, as well as your door lock.

All of our doors come with all of the holes precut and they're ready to install. Cut the hole in your cutout for your doorpost weather strip, the holes for your door plugs, the adjustable holes for your window guide, all three holes for your door latch, as well as holes for your door bumpers. The inside of the door has the correct texture for '64 through '66, as well as predrilled holes for all of your window and door internals.

All of our doors are predrilled, as well as threaded for your door hinges. The thread patterns are for a '65 Mustang, so if you have a '66 make sure you order the '65 door hinge bolts. Here you can see our replacement door shell installed on this 1965 Mustang Coupe. Notice the gap is very even with the rocker, the same thing with the quarter panel. The overall fitment is going to be very good. The e-coating comes on these doors and we do suggest sanding that off prior to painting.
