adjusting levers required: 2right & 2 left; kit had 3 right and 1 left. Had to re-use 40 yr old original on left rear. Adjusting screws and pivot nuts for rear brakes would not fit onto shoes supplied in the kit nor would they fit the original brakes. The slot opening was too small and i was forced to re-use 40 year old original pieces.
The same thing happened to me when I could not put the slot opening to my brake shoes. Adjusting screws and pivot nuts would not fit into slot openings. I jest grind off using a dremel and took off small mass from each end. After, the openings fitted perfectly tight, don't over grind the openings or they will be to loose. The only best way to grind the opening is to use the dremel cut off wheel, which fits the inner opening, and does an accurate job. Or jest reuse your original adjusting screw, jest don't forget to take out the rust from the original then prime it with 500 degree primer. The adjuster will look like new. thanks for reading.
