Engine Fan Shroud for 1965-1966 Mustangs with 260/289 V8 Engines. Is your engine fan all alone when trying to cool down the engine? Engine fan shrouds are designed to help funnel the air to help the cooling system run more efficiently. This particular engine shroud is a perfect reproduction of the original metal shroud Ford used on 1965-1966 Mustangs.

Got this with the Scott Drake fan shroud bracket kit for my 65 - both line up and fit perfectly with what I assume is a stock type radiator (but after 50 years who really knows). It was easy to install, just removed the fan to set it in place, reinstalled the fan, installed the brackets, then screwed it to the brackets. Watch out for the bottom driver's side screw on the brackets, it is scary close to the overflow hose on my radiator - I glued a valve stem cap to the tip of the screw to protect it. Draws air across the radiator like it's supposed to.
This didn't match a stock 2 row radiator, nor would it match a stock 3 row radiator we had kicking around. I will be returning this product to CJ Pony parts next day. Don't waste your time with this shroud.
I was able to slide the shroud from right to left between fan and radiator by removing the overflow bottle and rotating the fan by hand a little at a time. But be careful the shroud has sharp edges. Yes, I cut my finger, no surprise there. 10" X 18" to mounts for perfect fit. Took about an hour including time to get bandaid.
This flimsy, poorly machined fan shroud doesn't fit my stock 289 '66 Mustang radiator, even with the mounting kit. Save your money and stay away from this product!
I bought the shroud to replace an electric fan with an original fan.The quality was terrible, it was flimsy and the size was to small of a diameter and had to modify. The edges were not deburred and had small pointed areas and one of them punctured my radiator. I bought a new radiator from you to replace my almost new one.
Bought this for my 66 coupe with 289. Was the first step in solving an overheating problem. It fit perfectly using the Scott Drake mounting kit HW1324 for 3 row. Quick easy install. Looks just like it came with the car. The shroud helped but didn't completely fix the overheating problem. I later took it off along with the mechanical fan and installed an electric fan.
