Product Description

Hooker Competition Ceramic Longtube Headers for 1967-1970 Mustangs with a 351 Cleveland 4V Engine and an Automatic or Manual Transmission.

Hooker Competition Headers offer the best value in the high performance header market. Designed for the value conscious buyer who is running either a stock or mildly-modified engine, Hooker Competition Headers offer premium features at a very competitive price.

Made of durable 16-gauge mild steel tubing, the Hooker Competition header design utilizes a long transition collector to reduce back pressure and increase exhaust flow. A perfect sealing surface is assured with the 5/16" machined flanges, with welded O-ring seals. Experience has proven that this flange size is ideal to maintain header integrity and be pliable enough to seal each exhaust port. Tubing is mandrel-bent to maintain metal strength and provide consistent tube diameter at radii to maximize performance.

These Hooker Competition Headers feature the famous Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating. Optionally, the standard finish that features a heat-cured, high-heat resistant black paint is available.

*A custom made intermediate pipe/h-pipe is required. Headers feature 1-3/4" primaries and 3" collectors.
*EXHD55 Does NOT fit 351 Cleveland 2V heads or 351 Windsor engines.

Product Questions

will these header fit a 1970 b0ss 302

Asked by: richard wilburn
Probably not. While the '69 and '70 Boss 302 exhaust ports and bolt patterns are identical to the '70 351 4-V Cleveland , the Boss engines use a specific Windsor style block that has an 8.2" deck height. All 351-C blocks, with either 2-V or 4-V heads produced in the U.S. from 1970 to 1974 have a taller 9.2" deck height. The Boss and Cleveland heads also have the same external dimentions which are much wider than typical small block Ford heads. Also consider the larger diameter required of the headers primary tubes and the limited space available at the shock towers and chassis components, then it becomes clear why the headers are application specific. Good luck !

Can you recommend an H pipe to connect the headers to the exhaust in a 1970 mach 1 351c 4v automatic

Asked by: Mach70
Using these headers, you would need a custom built H-pipe.
