Hurst Competition Plus Short Throw Sifter

I purchased this shifter for my 2011 GT/CS to match the looks of the Hurst shifter in my 1971 Mach 1. And am I glad I did, as I am so pleased with better feel this shifter provides. Although I could by no means be called a mechanic, I found the installation to be fairly easy. If you have a way to get under the car and a proper set of tools, it should be no problem. The hardest part was getting the new urethane bushing onto the back of the rear shifter bracket. It appears that you’ll never get it compressed onto it, but once figured out, it will slip right on. Once everything was back together, I took the car for a test drive, and I was pleased from the first shift right out of the driveway. It is so much more precise than the stock shifter. Shifts are much shorter and cleaner. I set the spring for reverse pretty tight, so I did not install the LED reverse indicator light, and I have not yet mistaken reverse for first . The chrome shifter handle also looks great with the 1971 NOS aluminum T-handle

I installed this hurst shifter in my 2012 boss302 I think it is one of the best mods I have done to any of the mustangs I have owned, no more hitting the wrong gear, feels great, shorter throw, and looks fantastic,easy install with good instructions, all parts first class,could not be happier with this purchase
