1967-1970 Mustang Scott Drake Instrument Panel Bulb Lenses

These Blue Instrument Panel Bulb Lenses from Scott Drake will fit 1967-1970 Mustangs.

Add a brighter glow to your instrument panel with these new Instrument Panel Bulb Lenses from Scott Drake! These lenses will replace the old, cloudy lenses in your 1967-1970 Mustang, brightening up your instruments, making them much easier to see.

1. To start installing your new Mustang Scott Drake C4VY-10B870B8 Blue Instrument Panel Bulb Lenses, you'll first need to remove the original instrument cluster assembly. There are three screws across the top and two at the bottom. Also, remove the two plugs from the under dash wiring harness and the speedometer cable.

2. Once it's out, turn the Mustang instrument panel over and remove the black screws along the perimeter. Also, remove the windshield wiper switch assembly. The wiper handle on the front has a small Allen wrench retainer screw.

3. Pull the back plate with gauges away from the Mustang instrument bezel.

4. Unpack the new Scott Drake bulb lenses. My instrument cluster has seven lenses but the kit has eight.

5. I used pliers to pull out the instrument panel lights before removing/replacing the lenses to make sure I didn’t accidentally break a Mustang instrument panel light bulb.

6. Use a Phillips head screw driver to remove an original bulb lens and replace it with a new one. Repeat for all seven lenses.

7. This photo compares the original, cloudy lens with a new, clear lens that will allow more light to shine though.

8. I had to loosen the speedometer and fuel gauges with a 3/8” wrench in order to remove the lenses behind them. It wasn’t necessary to completely remove the gauges.

9. Once you replace all seven lenses, reassemble the Mustang instrument panel and fit it back in to your car.

10. The images below compare the instrument cluster lighting with the original lenses on the left compared to the new Mustang Scott Drake Blue Instrument Panel Bulb Lenses on the right. The differences aren’t very noticeable in these photos, however I could see an improvement. The gauges are much brighter now. Enjoy!
