Power Steering Control Valve Tube Seat 1/4" Set 1965-06/19/1967

Product Description

Set of 1/4" Power Steering Control Valve Tube Seats for 1965, 1966 and 1967 Mustangs with Factory Power Steering Built Before June 19th, 1967.

An important component of any properly functioning power steering control valve, this set of four direct replacement 1/4" Power Steering Control Valve Tube Seats securely seal and hold the power steering hoses in place on to the power steering control valve. Each tube seat is designed to OE specifications for a direct fit on your 1965, 1966 or 1967 Mustang with factory power steering, built before June 19th, 1967.

Most power steering control valves have had multiple hoses reinstalled and replaced over the years without ever having the tube seats replaced. This results in the tube seats having several different ridges cut into their surface and may no longer seal properly, even to a new hose. A heavily damaged tube seat may even damage the flare surface of a new hose, causing it to not seal properly even after a new tube seat is installed.

If it's time to replace the original power steering control valve tube seats on your 1965, 1966 or 1967 Mustang with factory power steering, built before June 19th, 1967, this set of four reproduction 1/4" Power Steering Control Valve Tube Seats are just what you need!

Please Note: 1967 Mustangs with factory power steering, built after June 19th, were equipped with 5/16" Power Steering Control Valve Tube Seats.

Power Steering Control Valve Tube Seat 1/4" Set 1965-06/19/1967 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fixed leaking control valve lines After replacing both lines on the power steering control valve I still had leaks. I happen to notice these valve tube seats while looking to replace the whole control valve. Didn't know that they were replaceable. Bought on sale for under $14 and no more leaks and didn't have to spend $250 on new control valve!!!

Product Questions

Will these seats work on the slave cylinder also? The 1967 Mustang Shop Service manual recommends replacing them if signs of wear is apparent. If these seats won't work, then what is the part number for the slave cylinder seats? Thanks for any answers

Asked by: evenstephen68
We do not have a listing for the slave cylinder seats.

Hi how do I remove the old control valve seats?

Asked by: charlie7639
That is a good question that I do not have a good answer for, you could possibly tap a screw into the center opening and pull them out.
