- All 15”, 16” and 17” wheels are acceptable and recommended
- Some 14” wheels will fit with this kit, however most will not
Please Note: All components come with a black powder coated or bare-steel finish. The picture shows red components for display purposes only.
Tech Tip: CJ Pony Parts uses Fox Body Long Tube Headers when installing this kit on 1965-1973 Mustangs with a 289, 302 or 351W engine.

I am trying to find out what the measurement from side to side on the inside of the cradle for inner frame mount
I see you recommend no wider than a 7" rim but how wide a tire? I have 15 x 7 rims so if I buy this system what width and diameter 15" tire can I go up to? will something like a 235/60 fit the system on a 1965 mustang coupe?
Wondering what pump and hoses do I need for this kit? Thanks bruce henn's garage inc
Hi. Can i use my old power steering box for this kit or do i need to buy a new one ?
Does this fit to my 72 cab ,302 and what do i need extra for to install it. Brgds
Does this come without disc brakes? I already have wilwood disc brakes on my mustang.
WILL IT WORK ON A 69 MACH ONE WITH A FE 390 MOTOR ?, DO i NEED TO CHANGE THE OIL PAN ? WHAT PAN WILL WORK AND WHERE TO BUY IT ?. ALSO WILL THE STOCK MOTOR MOUNTS WORK ?. WILL THE STOCK 14" RIMS WORK AS WELL ?.
I have a 69 mach 1 If I buy this kit I still be able to have 20 wheels with 45 tire?

The owner of this '67 convertible has big plans for its restoration, including a late model power plant and plenty of modern necessities. The Rod & Custom front suspension was an excellent starting point. The heart of the Rod & Custom kit is this cross member here; it's going to weld to your factory frame rails by boxing them in on both sides. It includes your choice of motor mounts. For pretty much any engine you can think of, they make mounts that fit. Also includes a rack-and-pinion steering system located in the proper location to avoid bump steer, as well as everything needed to hook it up to your column.
Here we can get a better look at the rack-and-pinion assembly that's included in the Rod & Custom kit. You can see how straight the tie rod ends are making bump steer a non-issue. The kit is available in both manual or power steering; it's a same rack used on a Fox Body Mustang, making it very easy to service. All of our Rod & Custom kits are going to come with this five lug disc brake setup, including braided steel lines; it comes with tubular upper and lower control arms, the brackets for the included three quarter inch sway bar, and your choice of conventional or coil over fully adjustable shocks. If you're looking for a well-engineered front suspension plus the ability to run pretty much any engine combination you'd like take a look at our line of Rod & Custom Motorsports suspension kits.
