Product Description

Under Dash Wiring Harness for 1965 Mustangs with Gauges and a 3-Speed Heater.

Faulty wiring can be difficult to trace and very frustrating, replace yours today with this direct replacement harness. This factory-style harness includes the fuse block, lamp sockets & the correct color coded wires & connectors as original. Entering through the firewall behind the instrument cluster, it supplies power to the instrument panel cluster harness, the console feed harness, door courtesy light harness, wiper motor and other dash connections.

*If you own a 1965 Mustang that has been converted to a gauge style cluster please verify that the gauge cluster is from a 1965 Gt Mustang and not a 1966 Mustang. The wiring needed for a 1966 cluster is different than the wiring needed for a 1965 cluster.

Does this wiring harness include the fog lights which are standard with a 65 GT? If so will the tail lights turn on with the fog lights?

Asked by: Dearborn GT
No, this isn't what you want for fog lights. Look up CJ part # WFGUD1. There's a full installation video on the product page, so you can see exactly how it installs.

What is the difference between a 65 gt cluster and 66 cluster? Wouldn't the 65 gt have to have deluxe int. to have gauges? I have a 65 gt with deluxe, but orig cluster is gone. Which would be correct for my car? Build date is April 21. Thanks.

Asked by: vintagemetal66
All 1965 Mustang GTs had a unique amp gauge that was different than both the regular 1965 Mustangs and the 1966 model. That's why the wiring is different. If your car was a 1965 GT, you'll want this wiring harness and the proper 1965 GT gauges. If you have a standard 1965 Mustang, you won't have gauges at all - just "idiot" lights. The standard vs. deluxe interior issue isn't an issue at all, as a 1965 GT could have either, but would still have the same GT gauges.
