1965 C10 Parts

Before the Chevy Silverado was one of the most popular trucks in America, there was the C10. The C10 was first introduced with the Chevrolet C/K line of trucks in 1960. The first generation lasted until 1966 and broke all-time sales records in 1964, 1965, and 1966. These classic trucks helped pave the way for the modern trucks we know and love today.

The C10 was the half-ton, two-wheel-drive model in the C/K line. There were several different body styles available for the C10 including the Fleetside, Stepside, panel truck, Suburban SUV, or a custom option. The two most popular styles were the Fleetside and Stepside. The Fleetside has a more linear design with a flat panel cargo box. The Stepside has rear wheels located on the outside of the truck bed. The Stepside’s most notable feature is the step mounted between the cab and the wheel wells.

The first-gen models saw a few upgrades during their short production span. Chevy replaced the torsion bar front suspension with coil springs in 1963. In 1964, the C10 received a curved windshield in place of the previous dogleg windshield. There weren’t many design changes until the second generation came out in 1967.

Since these trucks are over 50 years old, they may need more attention than newer models. Even if you're keeping your truck as close to stock as possible, you may need to replace a damaged component. Whether you need to upgrade the suspension, exhaust, drivetrain, or body and sheet metal, finding the right 1965 C10 parts can help restore your truck to its former glory.
