Before the Chevy Silverado was one of the most popular trucks in America, there was the C10. The C10 was first introduced with the Chevrolet C/K line of trucks in 1960. The first generation lasted until 1966 and broke all-time sales records in 1964, 1965, and 1966. These classic trucks helped pave the way for the modern trucks we know and love today.

The C10 was the half-ton, two-wheel-drive model in the C/K line. The first-gen models saw a few upgrades during their short production span. Chevy replaced the torsion bar front suspension with coil springs in 1963. In 1964, the C10 received a curved windshield in place of the previous dogleg windshield. There weren’t many design changes until the second generation came out in 1967.
