This Molded Cut Pile Carpet is made using premium nylon cut pile material that is made from 100% DuPont yarn. It is super plush compared to the original 80/20 loop carpet. It also features a steadfast black dyed finish that resists damage from humidity and fading from exposure to light.

The underside of this carpeting from ACC Carpets is a 36 oz. jute padding that provides your Mustang with insulation. If you choose to purchase your carpet with mass backing, you'll also get a layer of tough rubber between the jute insulation and the carpet which offers increased rigidity and decreased road noise! It measures 40mils thick, eliminating the need for sound deadeners. It also remains moldable and keeps its shape better than any standard poly-backed carpet.

*What makes this carpet different from 1965 Mustang carpet is where the carpet meets the door sill plates. On 1965 Mustangs the carpet runs all the way up on the rockers, whereas on 1964-1/2 Mustangs it does not. The 1965 Mustang also had an additional toe pad extending off of the heel pad, while 1964-1/2 carpet does not have this.

Please Note: ACC's carpets do not come with pre-cut holes, allowing you to make the necessary cuts only where needed for various interior components.

Tech Tip: When you first take your new carpet out of the box, you may notice quite a few wrinkles. This is normal. We recommend laying the carpet out in the sun for a few hours to help soften the jute backing and to help reduce the amount of wrinkles that are visible prior to installation.
