Like all of American Car Craft's parts, these are made of real stainless steel, right here in the USA and have a mixture or both a satin and a polished finish. They feature a Ford license raptor logo on the bottom and are in a complete set of four and install includes a supply of double stick tape.
Before the beginning the installation, there's a couple of things about this that I want to prepare you for. First of all, we're going to clean it like we normally would, but the vent has a curve to it, so these pieces will have to be slightly bent. As far as pieces, there are quite a bit of them. You've got your five main pieces here, but these also separate, so you want to keep this in mind when you're doing the installation.
The first thing you want to do before you clean or anything is get the pieces and work on the curves. Like I said, this is rounded. The pieces are flat, so I'm going to hold it and get an idea and just carefully bend it in your hand. It will bend pretty easily, but you've got to get it to sit flat. If it doesn't sit flat, you won't get good adhesion. Do that will all of the pieces. Once everything is bent, rub some alcohol. We're going to clean the area off.
Now, grab the supplied primer. What you want to do is break it in the middle. You hear a crack and then shake it up. I'm going to take our primer. I'm just going to wipe it everywhere where it's going to stick. It doesn't really matter what piece you start with. I would stay start with the larger pieces and work your way down. I'm going to start with the larger trim piece. I'm going to repeat the process with the other three vents.
The AC Vent Kit adds a custom look to an otherwise bland part of the Raptor's interior. The installation with this is a little more time consuming than your normal kind of stick on installation because the amount of pieces and the accuracy you want to make sure these are really, really clean and take your time, but figure no more than an about an hour. You'll be back on the road in no time.
